Public Sewer Services (PSS) has been a leading provider of comprehensive water and drainage solutions for over 25 years. We offer a full range of services, including drain lining, excavation, tankering, CCTV inspections, blockage clearance, and root cutting.

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage and Wastewater Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of drainage work, ensuring accurate site information capture and facilitating efficient ordering of further works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct CCTV surveys to assess the condition of drainage systems.
  • Utilize high-pressure water jetting equipment for effective cleaning and maintenance.
  • Operate vactors and booms to handle wastewater removal and disposal.
  • Work safely in confined spaces, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure project completion.
  • Meticulously record site information and work details on a tablet device.
  • Maintain a commitment to company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete driver's hours books and conduct thorough vehicle checks (defect books).
  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment.
  • Assist patching/lining crews with the installation of repairs.
  • Develop your skills in patching and lining techniques through on-the-job training.
  • Be prepared for occasional work away from home.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on public highways is essential.
  • A professional and flexible approach to work is highly valued.
  • Possess a valid CSCS card.
  • Hold a full Class C UK Driving Licence.
  • Be willing to undertake training as instructed by the company (street works, water jetting association, etc.).
  • Experience in street works (NRSWA) is desirable.
  • Certification from the Water Jetting Association (high pressure water jetting) is beneficial.
  • Confined Space Entry training is advantageous.
