Commercial Property Solicitor / Associate

Wedlake Bell LLP's esteemed Commercial Property division, recognized in L500 Tier 2 and Chambers Band 2 £50m-£150m, is seeking a qualified Solicitor / Associate with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience to enhance our team and uphold the exceptional service standards we provide to our clientele. This role is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

The Commercial Property division is among the largest at Wedlake Bell, delivering top-tier guidance on various issues, including: acquisitions and disposals, real estate investments, commercial and mixed-use developments, leasing agreements, and landlord-tenant relations. Our clientele encompasses private and commercial investors, substantial commercial and mixed-use developers, institutional landlords, corporate tenants, and asset managers.

As a Solicitor / Associate within the Commercial Property division, you will acquire significant experience across a spectrum of engaging matters, collaborating with all partners in the division and liaising with other departments on interconnected issues. Each day will present new challenges and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing clear and high-quality legal counsel on various commercial property issues;
  • Serving as the primary contact for advising clients on ongoing or new matters;
  • Contributing to the growth of the practice by promoting Wedlake Bell and our services to both existing and prospective clients.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in a reputable Real Estate practice, with experience in any or all of the following areas:

  • Landlord and tenant matters;
  • Property transactions;
  • Property restructuring and reorganization;
  • Asset management.

Additionally, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Be a qualified solicitor (preferably with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience) in England and Wales;
  • Hold a relevant legal qualification, such as a law degree or a legal postgraduate qualification in a related field;
  • Exhibit an excellent academic record;
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
  • Possess exceptional communication skills to build relationships at all levels;
  • Show strong client relationship and business development capabilities;
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and file management skills;
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
