About the Role

Civil Engineers at Leeds College of Building play a crucial role in designing and delivering infrastructure projects that shape our communities. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings
  • Manage and coordinate project teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and identify potential issues
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and other engineers, to ensure project requirements are met

Requirements

  • 4 or more GCSEs grades A-C (9-4) and a minimum of 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent
  • BTEC Subsidiary or Extended Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment or Civil Engineering, or an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering
  • HNC, HND, Higher Apprenticeship or Degree in Construction and the Built Environment, Civil Engineering, or other related subjects

Salary and Benefits

Newly trained Civil Engineers can earn £20,000 - £40,000 per annum, while trained Civil Engineers with some experience can earn £40,000 - £60,000 per annum. Senior, chartered, or master Civil Engineers can earn £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
