About the Team
Our Business Services division is a dynamic collective of innovative, strategic, and forward-thinking business facilitators. About the Role
- Facilitating the execution of the Employee Relations (ER) strategy in a fair, unbiased, and consistent manner to foster a culture of proactive and effective ER. Collaborating closely with the ER Manager and People & Culture Advisory team to address ER casework and inquiries, employing risk assessment and initiative to foresee potential challenges and implement preventative strategies.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for HR policy and ER advisory inquiries, promoting early resolution of ER matters.
- Building robust working relationships with key stakeholders to advance the ER agenda while enhancing management's understanding of essential ER and policy requirements.
- Effectively managing all types of ER cases, balancing employee wellbeing with business interests to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Providing current UK Employment Law guidance to managers and partners, thereby minimizing legal risks to the organization.
- Equipping all team members with expert and up-to-date knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law processes as relevant.
- Taking a leading role alongside HR Business Partners in consultation and restructuring initiatives, advising on redundancy processes, consultation meetings, and drafting communications for affected employees to ensure that all rights and entitlements are communicated and upheld.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports on HR/ER activities, identifying areas of concern, and collaborating with the appropriate People & Culture team member to implement corrective measures.
- Proactively enhancing the management capabilities of line managers through the design and delivery of HR management briefing sessions and other relevant training opportunities.
- Participating in the review and update of HR policies, guidelines, and document templates as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in change management, including reorganizations, restructuring, acquisitions, and TUPE within a multi-site environment;
- Proven track record in managing complex ER issues across various levels and disciplines;
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment law derived from a combination of academic qualifications, extensive experience, and ongoing professional development;
- Strong relationship management abilities, including negotiation and influence skills, adept at managing challenging individuals to achieve constructive outcomes;
- Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in report writing and presentations, strong analytical capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to convey the advantages of effective ER in a manner that translates into tangible business results;
- Interest in technology, creativity, and innovation, along with solid data analytics experience and the capacity to derive insights from systems and tools.
- Strong communicator and influencer who invests time in understanding key stakeholders and their clients' needs, taking appropriate actions to support the strategic objectives of the organization.
