GSL Education is seeking dedicated Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, or Education Studies Graduates to join our team as Special Needs Learning Support Assistants. This role is based in a specialized educational environment that caters to children with various emotional, social, and mental health challenges.


As a Learning Support Assistant, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in the field, which is essential for those aspiring to pursue careers in Clinical Psychology, Advocacy, or Education. This position offers a unique opportunity to understand the intricacies and significance of supporting students with diverse needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships with students through a restorative approach.
  • Encourage and demonstrate the value of education to students.


This role is demanding, as each child presents unique challenges influenced by their backgrounds and experiences. Therefore, fostering a supportive and understanding environment is crucial.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Successful completion of all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS.
