About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Primary Care Careers. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our doctors, practice manager, and business manager to ensure the smooth operation of our practice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to our clinical team, including typing letters, reports, and patient referrals.
  • Action referrals on our electronic patient record system, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and secure filing and administrative systems, ensuring easy access to information.
  • Retrieve medical records and assist with the completion of medical and insurance records.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to incoming and outgoing telephone calls, and dealing with queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain our computer clinic system, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Provide cover for members of the secretarial team during periods of sickness and annual leave.
  • Liaise with our clerk responsible for maintaining adequate supplies of office stationery.
  • Receive and dispatch mail, and maintain a pending system.
