Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Construction

At Jayco Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of projects across various sectors, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects from pre-contract to post-contract stages.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans using Microsoft Project.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to ensure compliance with company procedures, including reporting, change control, risk management, and gateway approvals.
  • Prepare and present project management reports to senior review and sign-off.
  • Support project management commissions, taking responsibility for specific aspects of service delivery.
  • Ensure client objectives are met, and projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Provide Employer's Agent/Contract Administrator services, with guidance from senior leads.
  • Gain an understanding of the Construction Contract and scopes of services on projects.
  • Support the appointment and coordination of consultants and contractors as required.
  • Contribute to the delivery and writing of bids and tenders.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of managing successful projects in the construction industry.
  • Experience of the whole project cycle, from conceptual design to completion.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft applications, including Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Technical qualification in project management or similar.
  • Demonstration of commitment to personal professional development.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car.
