WORKING PATTERN: Our operational model is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days per week at our office premises.

About the Role

At Lloyds Banking Group, we are motivated by a clear mission: to assist Britain in thriving. Within the Chief Security Office, our objective is to safeguard the Group and our clients from security vulnerabilities while enabling our businesses to adapt their services securely and efficiently.

We are in search of a Senior Cybersecurity Application Engineer who possesses the potential, enthusiasm, and ambition to embark on a career in Cybersecurity.

Are you intrigued by Cybersecurity, Application protection, and their critical roles in safeguarding millions of individuals' finances and data daily? Are you innovative and enjoy analyzing and resolving challenges? Can you effectively collaborate within a team to help us create the bank of the future? Do you have a strong desire to shape and redefine security in banking to meet our clients' needs and help us become the leading bank for Britain? Are you passionate, an effective communicator, and eager to continue learning and developing your skills?

If this resonates with you and you aspire to contribute to building the bank of the future, this Senior Cybersecurity Application Engineer position is tailored for you. We are a dedicated and enthusiastic team that thrives on addressing significant and meaningful challenges. Delivering Application Security solutions with WAF and RASP provides our team with opportunities to enhance our personal and professional capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Web Application Security Product Owner by providing expert advice and guidance within an Agile framework. Communicate effectively with clients; compile and present information, offering diagnostic and resolution steps while conveying process and product guidance. Provide technical assistance for incidents, issues, and changes. Continuously enhance knowledge and assist in training the team on Web Application Security. Contribute to product documentation, knowledge bases, and organizational standards. Collaborate with the team to improve processes and tools. This role is operational, requiring support for out-of-hours services through the On-Call rota (additional compensation applies). Be an effective communicator who can simplify complex processes and risks, ensuring that Web Application Security issues are understood by business colleagues and senior management.

Why Join Lloyds Banking Group:

We are on an exciting journey to transform our organization and redefine how we shape finance for the better. We are focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to create a great environment for everyone, including you.

Required Qualifications:

Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally with professional or associate certification. Demonstrated systematic, logical, and creative thinking abilities. Evidence of a passion for developing and implementing innovative insights and solutions. Methodical and detail-oriented approach, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks. Ability to communicate effectively in diverse situations. Awareness and understanding of risk, controls, and their associated impacts. Experienced user of Web Application Security tools to deliver applications and infrastructure. Experience with Cloud Armour and/or Azure App Gateway in a production environment is advantageous.

Additional Skills:

Ideally, you will have a background in internet security/networking (e.g., CISCO certification). Experience in incident support and change management is highly desirable.

Working with Us:

Our focus is to ensure inclusivity every day, building an organization that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel a sense of belonging and to be their best selves, regardless of background, identity, or culture. We were among the first major organizations to set diversity goals in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and establish a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. We particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups. We are disability confident, so if you require reasonable adjustments to our recruitment processes, please let us know.

Benefits:

Generous pension contribution of up to 15%. Annual performance-related bonus. Share schemes, including free shares. Benefits that can be tailored to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping. 30 days of holiday, in addition to bank holidays. A variety of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies.

Join Us in Making a Difference

With us, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of financial services, while the scale and reach of our Group will provide you with numerous opportunities to learn, grow, and develop.

Data Protection Notice:

We prioritize your data security. We will only request confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited to an interview or accepted a verbal offer, at which point we conduct background checks. We will always clarify what we need and why, with any requests coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group representative.
