Casual Registration Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Casual Registration Officer to join our team at Hull Register Office.
As a Casual Registration Officer, you will be responsible for providing a professional service to customers, ensuring that all ceremonies are conducted with dignity and respect.
You will work flexibly across all elements of the role, performing duties to meet the needs of the service. This will include attending ceremonies at our ceremony room at the Guildhall and other approved venues across the city.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct ceremonies with confidence and authority, ensuring that all parties receive a personal service and undisrupted access to facilities.
- Perform legal preliminaries prior to marriage ceremonies, ensuring that all information to be recorded on the legal record is current and accurate.
- Host ceremonies and events, presenting information clearly and appropriately to a wide range of audiences.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of ceremonies and events.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working in a legislation-driven environment and the ability to interpret and understand law relating to marriage and civil partnership.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and confidently.
- Accuracy skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically.
- Flexibility and ability to work on weekends, including Sundays and Bank Holidays.
