Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Material Handling)

£45,000 - £60,000 + Training + Benefits

Join a specialist company at the forefront of an exciting industry, taking on a lead role and becoming a technical expert.

About the Role:
  • Design and develop material handling and hoist products for clients using SOLIDWORKS CAD
  • Manage a team of design engineers to ensure product functionality on a client-by-client basis
  • Responsibility for all stress testing (FEA), liaison with customers/sales team, and fully costed estimates
  • Occasional site travel and travel abroad dependent on orders
  • 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
About the Company:

The company is the UK's only supplier of a specialist product, looking to continually grow and broaden their client base.

About the Person:
  • Experience with SOLIDWORKS CAD, including FEA and MathCAD or equivalent
  • HNC/HND qualification or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of crane or lifting equipment beneficial
  • Oil & Gas, Civil, Structural Steel background would be an advantage
