About the Role
Potts Print is seeking a skilled Lithographic Printer to join our Operations Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our suite of B1 litho presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a five and six color litho presses to produce a wide variety of printed items, including brochures, packaging, flyers, and posters.
- Monitor printing processes to ensure quality and consistency throughout the print run.
- Adjust press settings, ink, and paper feed as needed to achieve desired results.
- Perform routine maintenance on the printing presses to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Manage multiple jobs and tasks simultaneously and adjust immediately to changing priorities.
- Communicate with other departments during the production process.
- Awareness and adherence to the Company's Quality, Health and Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental Policies and Procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coach and mentor fellow employees.
Requirements
- Experience operating a B1 litho press is essential for this role.
- Previous experience with Manroland presses is highly desirable.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to operate printing presses effectively.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience of maintaining health & safety, quality, and hygiene controls within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work 12-hour shift rotation and overtime as required.
- Experience with manual handling (a valid forklift license is desirable but not necessary).
Working Hours
12-hour shift rotation – 2 weeks Mon/Tues/Wed & 2 weeks Thurs/Fri/Sat
Salary
Competitive Salary - based upon experience.
