Customer Service Advisor - Billing

Reed Talent Solutions is partnering with United Utilities to find a skilled Customer Service Advisor to join their billing team at their Whitehaven site.

United Utilities is a leading water and wastewater service provider in the North West, serving seven million customers. They are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and are seeking a talented individual to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, helpful, and friendly service to customers who contact United Utilities with queries or requests related to their bills. This will involve using various communication channels, including phone, web-chat, email, and written correspondence.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to prioritize your workload, react quickly, and work accurately. You will also need to possess strong listening and communication skills, as well as the ability to build rapport with customers.

The role offers a 12-month temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent. You will receive full training and support, including a comprehensive induction program and ongoing coaching and mentoring.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, with flexible shift patterns available. You will be based at Sir Christopher Harding House in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to customers who contact United Utilities with queries or requests related to their bills.
  • Use various communication channels, including phone, web-chat, email, and written correspondence.
  • Prioritize workload and react quickly to customer needs.
  • Work accurately and maintain high levels of productivity.
  • Build rapport with customers and provide a helpful and friendly service.

Requirements:

  • Passion for customer service and previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and react quickly to customer needs.
  • Comfortable using IT systems and navigating multiple channels of communication.
