Job Description

Coalesce Management Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team on a remote basis, with travel across multiple UK locations. This is an initial 12-month contract, Outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all site testing, commissioning, and installation are completed to the highest standards of health and safety and quality.
  • Test and commission substation equipment, ensuring that agreed work is in line with time scales and budgets.
  • Identify and communicate any issues to site and project engineers.
  • Accountable for accurate test records, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Able to work on offshore wind farms.
  • UK driving license required.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) necessary.
  • Experience with testing and commissioning HV Power systems equipment, SCADA systems, site experience, working at height, and working in a construction environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of construction and field services site work.
  • Experience in testing and commissioning of substation equipment (Generation, transmission, and distribution).

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the UK.
