About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Support Professional to join our team at Smart Teachers. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Secondary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils during lesson time, providing individualized assistance and accommodations as needed.
  • Deliver interventions to students, helping them to overcome learning challenges and achieve academic success.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Secondary age pupils, particularly those with SEN.
  • A 'child workforce only' DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
