Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Midwife to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our Midwifery Multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to mothers and babies throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess and provide total midwifery care to mothers and babies without direct supervision.
  • Identify deviations from the norm and refer to other appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Provide midwifery care to mothers and babies under the guidance of other healthcare professionals where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Midwifery team to ensure excellent expert care for women and their families.

Requirements

  • Autonomous lead professional with expertise in midwifery.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
