Position Overview

Compensation: £45,000 annually + £400 monthly vehicle allowance + 17.5% performance bonus

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial management of multiple contracts, proposals, and processes.
  • Assess risks, obligations, and commitments within contractual documents, ensuring the organization understands potential implications.
  • Safeguard the commercial interests of the project delivery team at all times.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage team members effectively.
  • Estimate costs and implement robust financial control systems.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including inquiries, contract drafting, measurement, valuation agreements, and payments.
  • Assist in project procurement activities.
  • Provide timely and high-quality management reports to the Commercial Manager and senior leadership as required.
  • Offer commercial support to various departments within the organization.
  • Address day-to-day commercial challenges.

Qualifications Required:

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and problem resolution
  • Relevant HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent professional credentials
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract types, including NEC
  • Experience with a primary contractor in the Industrial, Water, or Energy sectors

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with operations and maintenance contracting is advantageous
  • Diverse experience as a Cost Estimator within the construction sector
