Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for designing and manufacturing turbine components for engine development projects.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Design and Manufacture Turbine Components: Utilize your expertise in manufacturing engineering and component engineering principles to design and manufacture turbine components for engine development projects.
  2. Develop Novel Design and Manufacturing Techniques: Collaborate with our team to develop innovative design and manufacturing techniques to enable future design styles and manufacturing technologies.
  3. Accelerate Cost Reduction and Yield Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve casting and machining yields for turbine components.
Person Specification
  1. Education and Qualifications: Hold a degree in a relevant field or demonstrate equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience.
  2. Manufacturing Engineering Knowledge: Possess a sound understanding of manufacturing engineering and component engineering principles.
  3. Turbine Component Expertise: Demonstrate technical knowledge of turbine components and/or process knowledge associated with investment casting and/or machining of turbine components.
  4. Functional Skills: Be equipped with a strong functional skill set, including problem-solving, programme management, change control, risk management, and budgetary control.
