GCMS Analyst / Analytical Chemist Job Opportunity

Science Solutions Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled GCMS Analyst / Analytical Chemist to join our team at a global perfume and fragrance manufacturer. This company is renowned for creating high-quality fragrance compounds, aromas, and perfumes for various industries.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sample Preparation: Prepare samples for GCMS analysis to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Fragrance Analysis: Analyze fragrance samples to identify and quantify the materials present, providing valuable insights for fragrance formulation.
• Essential Oil Data Interpretation: Interpret essential oil data to identify specific oils present, supporting the creation of high-quality fragrances.
• Fragrance Formulation: Develop fragrance formulas based on GCMS analysis results, ensuring optimal fragrance performance.
• GCMS System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on GCMS systems to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Data Management: Update essential oil spreadsheets to aid in the interpretation of oil data, facilitating informed decision-making.

Requirements:

• GCMS Experience: Proven experience with GCMS systems and equipment, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
• Fragrance Knowledge: Knowledge of fragrance ingredients and essential oils is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of their properties and applications.
• Education: A degree in Analytical Chemistry, specifically Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, is required.
