We are seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to join our client\u2019s team in Leicester. As a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for processing client and office account transactions, handling electronic bank payments and receipts, and reconciling bank accounts daily and monthly.
Key Responsibilities- Process client and office account transactions
- Handle electronic bank payments and receipts
- Reconcile bank accounts daily and monthly
- Ensure compliance with SRA accounts rules
- Manage petty cash and office expenses
- Prepare and process invoices and payments
- Liaise with fee earners and support staff regarding financial queries
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Support the external accountants during audits
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a legal firm is essential
- Strong knowledge of SRA accounts rules and regulations
- Proficiency in legal accounting software
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- AAT or similar financial qualification is desirable but not essential
