Role Summary

The Senior Bid Manager will play a pivotal role within our bid team, overseeing and crafting our most significant and strategic proposals for a variety of key clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating bid submissions, collaborating with various subject matter experts to ensure optimal contributions.
  • Creating clear, persuasive, and compliant proposals that enhance our chances of securing new business opportunities.
  • Facilitating skill development among colleagues regarding bid management and contributions to enhance our overall capabilities.
  • Assisting team members with reviews and managing escalations when necessary.

We seek a seasoned bid and proposal writer/manager to join our Bid Team. This role requires hands-on involvement, with full accountability for managing the bid process and crafting compelling responses.

As a central figure in each proposal, you will significantly influence our narrative, approach to client requirements, and the overall structure of our submissions.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team of bid managers, coordinators, and reviewers, all working towards achieving outstanding outcomes for every proposal. Should you face tight deadlines or require guidance on response strategies, our team will provide unwavering support.

The entire team also collaborates with the broader organization to refine our bid and proposal methodologies.

As a Senior Bid Manager, you will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, addressing inquiries from colleagues both within and outside the bid team, and exemplifying best practices.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Recent experience in a dual role of bid management and writing, specifically in preparing formal proposals for both public and private sectors.
  • A background in the technology industry, familiar with the types of projects we undertake and the roles present at BJSS, enabling you to contribute effectively from the outset.
  • Experience in related fields, such as professional services, to bring fresh perspectives and ideas.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of producing clear, structured, and persuasive content.
  • Proficiency in questioning, researching, reviewing, and evaluating contributions to ensure the highest quality of responses.
  • Experience leading diverse and time-constrained bid teams to success on complex proposals.
  • Adeptness in building strong working relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
