As an Interprofessional Education Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the educational framework for our healthcare workforce. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the advancement of the Interprofessional Education initiative within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and throughout Wales, collaborating with a vibrant and progressive team.

Key Responsibilities

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Healthcare Professional Educator to spearhead the educational strategy across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

The chosen individual will collaborate closely with colleagues from Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health Professions, and Health Care Science, as well as our academic partners, to design, implement, and integrate professional learning experiences for healthcare professional students across various health board locations.

This role is both innovative and demanding, requiring outstanding networking and communication abilities, alongside a comprehensive understanding of pre-registration educational standards, simulation, and interprofessional education, to effectively influence and propel the healthcare agenda forward within CTMUHB and Wales.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • First level registration with NMC/HCPC
  • Professional knowledge acquired through a Degree, supplemented by specialized knowledge in mentorship, education, and development practices equivalent to a Post Graduate Diploma

Desirable Qualifications

  • Registration as a teacher with the NMC or HCPC
  • Formal teaching qualification

Essential Experience

  • Clinical experience
  • Experience in collaborative working
  • Experience in assessing and supervising healthcare professional students during placements

Desirable Experience

  • Experience collaborating with universities
  • Experience in quality and audit processes
