Job Title: Site Fitters / Installers

Barnfield Engineering is an expanding company with a strong presence in the water industry, specializing in complete mechanical engineering services from design and fabrication to installation.

The Role:

We are seeking experienced Site Fitters/Installers to join our team, working on a variety of interesting projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting drawings and dimensions to locate and erect steel structures
  • Locating, aligning, and squaring up steel structures to drawings
  • Adjusting, cutting, and repairing existing/new structures as required
  • Working with the team to facilitate lifting and installation of structures
  • Assisting at the yard with pre-build of structures during the fabrication stage
  • Carrying out general housekeeping and maintenance duties
  • Communicating with the design team for support on installations
  • Communicating with the workshop and management team to understand the program and working method
  • Complying with all client rules on site, including safety and PPE
  • Maintaining a professional and constructive attitude towards work and colleagues
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to consistently work to high standards. Previous experience with mechanical installations, steel structures, and handrails is desirable. A full UK driver's license is essential.
