Quantity Surveyor

Archard Talent Limited is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in the South-East steel building industry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing contractual and commercial aspects of projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of top-tier steel-framed buildings.
Key Responsibilities:- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates based on design drawings, specifications, and client needs, covering labour, materials, equipment, and overheads.
- Tender Preparation: Create comprehensive tender documentation, including bills of quantities (BOQ) and detailed specifications for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Contract Administration: Draft and manage contracts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring clear terms related to scope, payment schedules, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks that could impact the project, such as material price fluctuations or delays that increase costs.
- Cost Control: Conduct thorough cost analysis and maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quantity Surveying Qualification or substantial experience in the field.
- Knowledge of the steel frame and steel building sector is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimating.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and regulations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
