About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a crucial role where you will act as a true Finance Business Partner, working closely with different business units across the organisation to make informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare regular, timely and accurate financial management information, including budgets, forecasts, cost centre reports, analysis and commentaries for both financial and non-financial professionals.
    • Produce monthly management accounts for trading, ensuring prepayments, accruals and income are accurately imported, calculated and posted.
  • Financial Planning and Control
    • Ensure all balance sheets are accurate and reconciled.
    • Lead the annual budget setting process, alongside operational managers.
  • Inventory Management and Control
    • Maintain stock records and calculate cost of sales in compliance with SORP.
    • Organise and control stocktake procedures.
  • Business Partnership and Collaboration
    • Challenge appropriately to ensure the best organisational outcomes.
    Requirements
    • A Qualified Accountant with significant experience in a finance business partnering role, ideally within retail accounting and experience of stock accounting and control.
    • Experience of developing and monitoring an annual budget.
    • Experience of revising and developing processes, procedures and policies to drive organisational performance.
    • Excellent influencing skills.
    • The ability to build effective working relationships.
