About the Role
The Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Radiology Physics Specialist to join our Diagnostic Radiology Physics team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive diagnostic radiology physics services, including x-ray equipment testing, patient dosimetry, and radiation protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the provision and development of diagnostic radiology physics services, including x-ray equipment testing, patient dosimetry, and radiation protection.
- Assist medical physics experts and radiation protection advisers in the provision of their services.
- Participate in teaching, training, research, and development.
Requirements
- Good Honours degree in physics or related subject.
- MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent.
- HCPC registration as a clinical scientist.
- Relevant experience in diagnostic radiology physics, including x-ray equipment testing, patient dosimetry, and radiation protection.
- Substantial experience of using PCs, including Excel and image acquisition and image reviewing workstations.
- Experience of using programming languages such as Python or IDL.
- Current evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
