We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team at Moston. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the safe management and delivery of project works in line with business processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development: Identify and develop a short/medium and long-term pipeline of project opportunities from the portfolio of customers within the Business Unit.
- Client Relationship Management: Leverage opportunities through visibility and presence on customer sites, and liaise with colleagues and managers to determine and identify project opportunities.
- Project Planning: Work with developers, designers, and sub-contractors to define and document scope(s) of work(s), and develop and understand the full scope of works in line with the desired project business case and in turn outcome.
- Tender Management: Manage, run, and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required, and carry out full tender analysis of all sub-contractor returns.
- Project Risk Management: Identify, reduce, and manage all statutory and commercial risks associated with the project they are leading.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure QHSE practices and processes are fully embedded in each project, and ensure full compliance with project management policies and procedures.
- Project Delivery: Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s), including estimating, business development, quantity surveying, sub-contractor management, and site manager duties.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer acceptance is adhered to, in writing and in line with the project plans, and mutually agree payment schedules and applications for payment to the benefit of the project and the business.
- Project Documentation: Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Commercial Management: Manage commercial terms to eliminate risk.
- Project Performance: Generate project opportunities by building strong effective working relationships with our customers and site teams.
- Financial Management: Full P & L responsibility.
- Project Governance: Have full accountability and responsibility for the safe management and delivery of project works in line with business processes and procedures working alongside contract teams and client to generate pipeline sales and opportunities.
- Education: Recognised technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical, or Electrical or similar (desirable).
- Training: Degree level qualification within project management, construction management, or equivalent (desirable).
- Experience: Proven project management experience in either an M&E, FM, construction, or critical environment.
- Aptitudes: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence, excellent relationship builder, ability to inspire confidence, challenge status quo, high degree of integrity, highly motivated and self-aware, highly organised with attention to detail, ability to network, results-focused, innovative, handle high levels of information from a wide range of sources.
- Character: Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels of personal integrity, has vision, and able to communicate this effectively, a role model for customer service excellence, analytical, creative, able to contribute effectively across all business activities, politically astute, incumbents must have a high level of energy, be self-starters, confident, and stable in manner, organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high-pressure, business-critical environments.
