Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and caring individual to join our team as a Casual Driver. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting and assisting passengers with disabilities and sensory impairments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport passengers in a safe and caring manner, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey.
  • Provide care duties associated with transport services, including assisting passengers to prepare for the journey and ensuring their safety and comfort when on the vehicle.
  • Ensure passengers reach their destination safely on group trips, working collaboratively with the Passenger Assistant (where provided).
  • Operate the vehicle passenger lift to enable passengers to board and alight from the vehicle, and ensure the safe application of seatbelts, wheelchair clamps, and straps.
  • Carry out vehicle checks, fuelling, and cleaning as required by Integrated Transport procedures, and complete records as necessary.
  • Undertake other driving and attendant duties as required, working as part of a team to deliver high-quality transport services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with passengers and colleagues. You will also require a valid driving license and the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons.
