Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Tax Director to join our team at PBR Executive Search Limited. As a key member of our corporate and business tax department, you will be responsible for delivering tax advisory projects and managing the compliance function for a designated allocation of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Tax Advisory Projects: Work with clients to deliver tax advisory projects arising within the audit and business tax client portfolio, as well as projects won through your own business development activity.
- Manage Compliance Function: Oversee the delivery of the compliance function for a designated allocation of clients, working closely with local partners and the team to ensure consistent delivery throughout the annual cycles.
- Corporate and Income Tax Returns: Manage the preparation and submission of corporate and income tax returns, including partnership and personal returns, as well as ATED, NRLR, share scheme, and P11D returns.
- Client Liaison and Technical Support: Provide high-level technical support to partners in advising clients on tax planning opportunities, and work closely with clients to address their tax-related queries and concerns.
- Departmental Contributions: Contribute to the general management of the corporate and business tax department, providing input at regular management meetings and assisting with the training of tax staff.
- Junior Staff Development: Appraise junior staff, taking responsibility for their development and performance.
- New Business Opportunities: Identify new opportunities within the client portfolio and work with the wider team to deliver additional services where appropriate.
Requirements:
- CTA Qualified: Hold a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification.
- Business Tax Experience: Possess at least 5 years of post-qualification experience working within a business tax department of an accountancy practice.
- Organisational and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, with a strong client service ethic.
