We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Critical Maritime Systems & Support Limited. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of our life-support systems, atmospheric control systems, and other engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate key engineering activities on projects, working alongside Project Managers and the Project Engineering Manager to ensure the technical content of the project is delivered successfully to the customer's requirements.
- Design and Development: Lead the design and development activities relating to the projects, overseeing the flow of information from technical specialists undertaking work related to the project.
- Project Planning and Budgeting: Track activities to project plans and budgets, regularly reporting to the Project Manager on progress.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for procurement, production, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Test and Commissioning: Assist test engineers in testing and commissioning of equipment, ensuring design reviews are held, FMEAs are conducted, and appropriate test plans are in place.
- Reporting and Communication: Report on the technical content of the project to the Project Engineering Manager, including holding regular reviews to ensure the right approach is being followed, and that any requirements for additional expertise are addressed.
- A Degree (2.1 or above), in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering)
- Knowledge of BS.8888 drawing practices
- Knowledge of ISO9000 or a similar QA system
- Able to build long-term successful client partnerships, both internally and externally
- Able to negotiate and influence others
- Decision-making / problem-solving skills
- Experience of working in a highly regulated engineering environment
