Role Responsibilities
The role encompasses several critical areas, including:
Brand Performance: Strategy and Analytics
Overseeing brand and product performance, actively managing product ranges by evaluating high and low performers, assessing profitability, and identifying growth opportunities.
Brand Execution: Online and Offline
Driving exemplary execution and presentation of the brand in both retail and digital environments.
Marketing Management and Execution
Administering the complete marketing mix, which includes trade plans in collaboration with sales teams, above-the-line marketing initiatives, and social media strategies.
The brand regularly conducts in-store events and pop-up opportunities, focusing on idea generation, budget management, sales tracking, and collaboration with the sales team and Brand Ambassadors to optimize results and enhance consumer awareness.
Sales and Commercial Leadership
Presenting brands to key customers both domestically and internationally, in partnership with the sales team, while managing ongoing brand and marketing initiatives directly with significant clients.
Ensuring that all new and existing products align with company margin criteria and perform effectively.
Agency Management
Overseeing PR and social media agencies, including budget management, performance tracking, and annual planning.
Monitoring performance and KPIs to ensure successful delivery for the brand and the broader business objectives.
New Product Development (NPD) Program
Maintaining and enhancing a pipeline of innovative ideas for brand development to boost market competitiveness, informed by insights into the external environment, including consumer, customer, and competitor trends.
Acting as a key driver of NPD within the organization, coordinating cross-functional activities, and collaborating closely with buyers, packaging technologists, R&D teams, suppliers, and customers.
Trend and Innovation Monitoring & Consumer Insights
Ensuring comprehensive awareness of new product launches, innovations in product development, marketing strategies, and social media trends, applying relevant insights to the business.
Utilizing a data-driven approach to understand consumer insights and market dynamics.
Specific tasks to achieve the above include, but are not limited to:
- Creation and implementation of brand plans
- Collaboration with UK and Export sales teams on brand opportunities and market-driven presentations
- Guiding the Creative and R&D teams in product concept generation and NPD
- Conducting product cost analysis, profitability assessments, and margin contributions
- Engaging in risk analysis and critical path management
- Managing packaging and artwork processes, including copywriting and repro coordination
- Overseeing product lifecycle management
- Analyzing EPOS, promotional, and event sales data
- Forecasting product launches
- Developing merchandising strategies
- Generating samples and mock-ups for PR, pre-production, and customer presentations
- Conducting competitor shopping analysis and reporting

Qualifications
- A proven high level of intellectual ability, likely evidenced by strong academic performance (2:1 or equivalent), or through relevant experience or test results
- High proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- A valid driving license
Experience
A minimum of three years of brand management experience is required, demonstrating expertise across all facets of branding, including strategic planning, performance monitoring, and NPD, with the ability to influence management across various functions such as sales and product development.
Experience in the FMCG sector, particularly within the health and beauty industry, is preferred, especially with brands positioned in premium price segments and channels, including both offline and online retail platforms.
