Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain accurate customer credit accounts, ensuring that all information provided is reliable and up-to-date.
  • Monitor and review customer credit limits in accordance with our company's credit policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that customers are set up on direct debit or quarterly payment plans, and process all mandates in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Address and resolve unpaid direct debits and cheques in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Manage and follow up on queried invoices, ensuring that all issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer databases, ensuring that credit limits reflect customers' trading history.
  • Proactively manage outstanding sales balances before the month-end close, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Process and document credit card transactions, taking all necessary steps to prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Record payment notifications for weekly cash forecasting purposes, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Liaise with operations and sales teams regarding accounts on stop and removal of services, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
  • Initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are brought to a satisfactory conclusion, as required.
  • Ensure that all communication with customers and other team members is accurately logged on our notes system.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in credit control or a related field.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
