Insurance Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our Insurance team at Forbes Solicitors. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in handling a caseload of housing disrepair claims, providing expert support to our advisors and delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

• Case Management: Handle a caseload of housing disrepair claims, prioritizing work, monitoring deadlines, and keeping clients informed.
• Legal Support: Provide effective and efficient support to advisors through chargeable work, contributing to the delivery and completion of services for clients.
• Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents that require further knowledge, consideration, and input based on analysis and understanding of information gathered.
• Client Communication: Provide legal advice, under the supervision of a qualified advisor, that resolves queries and advances clients' instructions and cases.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team, maintaining, monitoring, and updating systems and documents with client and case information, data, and file notes.
• Research and Analysis: Carry out and deliver accurate and up-to-date legal research, writing original high-quality articles and reports for internal and external publication.
• Client Relationship Management: Manage regular and up-to-date communications with clients and stakeholders, answering queries, managing expectations, providing updates, and effectively chasing responses required and escalating appropriately.

• CILEX qualification/Law Degree (or equivalent)
• LPC/SQE (desirable but not essential)
• Previous legal assistant/paralegal experience is desirable
• Previous experience with housing disrepair claims is desirable
• Strong commercial awareness
• Aligns with the Firm's values
• Proven competence in IT skills (Outlook, Word, and other systems experience)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Interest in long-term development/progression in the department
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
