Individuals at Jellicoe Court are active participants in both indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring that each day is unique and engaging for the residents. The Care Assistant role involves various tasks, from providing care to facilitating recreational outings and even involving residents in the recruitment process.
As a Care Assistant, you will experience the rewards of making a difference daily. Previous care experience is not required; instead, a passion for helping others and the willingness to learn are essential qualities that will be nurtured through comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support based on individual needs
- Engage residents in various activities, including shopping, crafting, bowling, or swimming
- Assist with personal care tasks, such as showers and baths
Work Schedule:
The role follows a set schedule of morning and afternoon shifts, with each shift lasting 7.5 hours. For full-time positions, the contract involves 37.5 hours per week across 5 shifts. Shifts can start as early as 7:00 am and end as late as 10:00 pm.
Weekend availability is necessary, with schedules rotating to ensure time off during the week for those working weekends.
