About This Role

Are you a qualified and experienced Homecare Pharmacy Technician with a strong background in hospital settings? Do you possess a comprehensive understanding of hospital pharmaceutical procedures?

NHS Professionals has exciting opportunities for skilled Homecare Pharmacy Technicians to support our client trusts. You will play a vital role in maintaining key relationships with colleagues and healthcare professionals across the Trust, ensuring an effective and seamless service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for the pharmacy homecare service by planning, developing, and organizing tasks under the guidance of the Pharmacy Homecare Service Manager.
  • Process, authorize, and receive homecare deliveries on the pharmacy system. Provide homecare pharmacy services within clinical areas as needed to meet service demands.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact within the Trust regarding the medicines home delivery service for various stakeholders, including homecare companies, pharmacists, clinicians, purchasers, contracting departments, and finance teams.
  • Coordinate the pharmacy homecare medicines service, prioritizing and managing the workload effectively. Proactively resolve any issues that arise.
  • Participate in service review meetings for homecare medicines management, collaborating closely with homecare companies, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, other healthcare staff, and patients.
  • Work alongside clinical pharmacists and clinicians to develop and implement efficient systems for administering patient access schemes (PAS).
