Senior Data Manager RoleMinutes to Seconds Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Senior Data Manager to join our team in Melbourne on a permanent basis. This role is crucial in developing our cloud-based data platform.
Responsibilities:- Data Modeling: Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data models for operational data and subject-oriented data marts. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data models.
- ETL Development: Create and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the platform. Ensure processes are optimized for performance, accuracy, and maintainability. Troubleshoot issues related to ETL processes and data integration.
- Data Integration: Manage data ingestion processes from multiple applications, ensuring data consistency and reliability. Develop and maintain data integration frameworks for real-time and batch data processing. Coordinate with application owners for seamless data ingestion and integration.
- Industry-Specific Data Models: Apply deep knowledge of retail industry data models, particularly in areas like sales, inventory, loss prevention, supply chain, and warehouse management. Utilize best practices to design data models that meet the unique needs of a pharmaceutical retail business.
- Documentation and Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, ETL processes, and data integration workflows. Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards. Establish and enforce data modeling and documentation standards.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with data architects, data engineers, and business analysts to align data modeling efforts with business objectives. Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in data modeling and data management. Lead data modeling sessions and design reviews with cross-functional teams.
