We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, utilizing your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive and systematic physical examinations, including musculoskeletal and neurological assessments.
- Take and record systematic patient histories, and perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary.
- Make diagnostic decisions based on clinical findings, laboratory results, and radiology reports.
- Develop individualized care plans, and prescribe medications safely and effectively.
- Screen patients for early signs of clinical risk factors, and initiate treatment as necessary.
- Terminate episodes of care by discharging patients or referring them to other agencies.
- Practice independently, utilizing the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive appropriate services.
- Registered Nurse with Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification.
- Experience working as a Nurse or ENP in Accident and Emergency.
- Clinical skills necessary for ENP role, including non-medical prescribing (desirable).
