Job Title: Senior Microbiologist - Pharmaceutical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiologist to join our team at Consult. As a Senior Microbiologist, you will be responsible for scheduling, carrying out, and reporting approved tests and monitoring procedures to assess the microbiological quality of non-sterile/sterile pharmaceutical materials and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, carry out, and report validation and testing of non-sterile/sterile products to meet agreed schedules, including in-process and finished products.
  • Plan, perform (where appropriate), and report microbiological and physical monitoring of production facilities and equipment.
  • Plan, carry out, and report testing to support validation of sterile production facilities, such as oven validation and isolator qualification.
  • Plan, carry out, and report testing of raw materials, arranging external testing when required.
  • Plan, carry out, and report testing of media fills.
  • Perform all laboratory activities safely, in accordance with GMP, and to agreed timelines.
  • Deputise for the Microbiology Team Leader, and where appropriate, attend meetings, schedule testing, review data, and liaise with other departments as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of microbiology techniques.
