Job Summary:

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solar Project Manager to join our team. As a key player in the residential and commercial solar industry, we are looking for a professional who can lead and coordinate our UK rooftop solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of up to 10 construction projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Oversee construction safety, including CDM15 coordination, to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of Technical Surveyors, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate surveys and functional testing for new and existing PV projects, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Support commercial project development and procurement processes, working closely with the business development team.
  • Manage rooftop solar project execution, quality inspections, and commissioning, ensuring seamless handover to clients.
  • Lead the Quality process and safety audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Operate drones (CAA training provided) and maintain drone operation standards, capturing high-quality project data.
  • Oversee project commissioning and handover, ensuring accurate project data entry in client systems.
  • Communicate project and team status effectively, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant degree or qualification related to engineering, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in the installation of Solar PV rooftop systems, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in leading a team, with a proven ability to motivate and manage team members to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
