We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Financial Manager to join our team at Workingmums. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring the effective management of our resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the Executive Director of Locality Impact and the Locality Impact Directorate.
  • Champion and support improvements to NHS stroke services, building effective relationships with key stakeholders and influencing local stroke policy and practice.
  • Engage with the wider stroke community to put stroke on the map and ensure stroke survivors have the support they need, with a focus on addressing health inequalities.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with the organization's overall strategy and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial management and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Senior level experience influencing local or national policy change, ideally in health and social care.
  • Extensive travel across a large geographical locality, with a focus on building relationships with key stakeholders and influencing local stroke policy and practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
