Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced social worker to join our team as a Foster Carer Assessor. As a key member of our recruitment and assessment service, you will play a vital role in supporting potential foster carers through the assessment and panel process.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake competence-based Form F Assessments to evaluate the suitability of foster carers.
- Work closely with other members of the recruitment and assessment service to ensure a smooth and efficient assessment process.
- Support potential foster carers in preparing for and participating in the assessment process.
- Produce high-quality written assessment reports that meet regulatory requirements.
- Present assessment reports to Fostering Panels with confidence and proficiency.
Requirements
- Recognised professional social work qualification (DipSW or equivalent).
- HCPC registration.
- Knowledge of childcare legislation and other relevant legislation/initiatives pertaining to foster care.
- Experience of working within a fostering service.
- Experience of undertaking competence-based Form F and/or Form C Assessments.
- Ability to work on a flexible basis, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to produce high-quality written reports and present to Fostering Panels.
- Clean driving license and own transport.
