We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Connect Appointments. As a key member of our Kirkcaldy-based vehicle repair and maintenance client, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and progress to become a HGV Mechanic.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repair work on a modern fleet of vehicles
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and report them to the Workshop Manager
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of work carried out
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Proven experience as a mechanic or vehicle technician
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
- Basic computer skills
- A competitive starting salary of £35,000 per year
- A range of benefits, including overtime, enhanced rates, and more
- Weekend on-call payments of £80, with double time for all hours worked and a guaranteed minimum of 2 hours paid
