Key Print Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Print Manager to lead our production team and drive business success. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving targeted performance, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Annual Budgeting: Collaborate with the Production Planning team to agree and achieve annual budgets for press performance.
  2. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the press operation, identify opportunities for improvement, and outperform estimates using our MIS system.
  3. Daily Production Reports: Ensure daily production status reports are provided to the Production Planning team by the requested time.
  4. Performance Variance Analysis: Investigate performance variances daily and communicate this to the Production Office and Managing Director.
  5. Staff Leave Management: Determine the maximum amount of staff leave per shift in conjunction with other Managers to ensure production is not affected.
  6. Crew Performance Management: Performance manage, coach, and train crews to achieve their aims in all areas of manufacturing excellence.
  7. Employee Development: Involve all employees in the development of the printing process, encourage innovation, and find better ways of meeting customer demands.
  8. Training and Development: Ensure all employees are provided with adequate training to perform their duties and, where desired, developed to take on additional responsibility and meet set targets.
  9. Capital Investment: Identify and justify opportunities for profitable capital investment for the machine.
  10. Quality Procedures: Comply with the company's quality procedures.
  11. Improvement Group Meetings: Hold Improvement Group Meetings and brief staff of ongoing performance.
  12. Risk Assessments: Ensure all risk assessments are completed and H&S criteria are adhered.
