About the Role

GAP Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our Plant and Tool Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the efficient running of our workshop, ensuring the availability of plant for hire, and maintaining the highest standards of equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of depot fitters to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and kept in working order
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve workshop operations and reduce downtime
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a senior plant mechanic/fitter role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served
  • Sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to develop and manage teams within a fast-paced workshop environment
  • A valid driving license is essential
