Job Description:

Data Engineering Consultant Role:

Lorien, a leading innovative energy renewables company, is seeking a talented Data Engineer/MLOPS to join their growing data practice. As a Data Engineering Consultant, you will play a key part in the contribution of the design, development, and continuous improvement of their data engineering tools, workflows, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall Data Engineering Infrastructure
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve data engineering tools, workflows, and processes
  • Communicate with the Software and Data Science teams
  • Integrate new data management technologies
  • Develop tooling and improve back testing frameworks
  • Orchestrate machine learning workflows, MLOps
  • Centralise diverse datasets for analytics, visualisation, and machine learning
  • Proficiency with Orchestration and IaC in AWS (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Airflow), Git, containerisation (Docker), database management (e.g. Postgres, Alembic)
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks (e.g. Prometheus)
  • Familiarity with time-series forecasting and/or optimisation

Requirements:

  • Strong experience as a Data Engineer
  • Extensive Python experience
  • Excellent Data pipe lining building experience
  • Familiarity with time-series forecasting and/or optimisation
  • Experience of developing tooling and improving back testing frameworks
  • Experience of orchestrating machine learning workflows, MLOps
  • Experience centralising diverse datasets for analytics, visualisation, and machine learning
  • Proficiency with Orchestration and IaC in AWS (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Airflow), Git, containerisation (Docker), database management (e.g. Postgres, Alembic)
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks (e.g. Prometheus)
  • Knowledge of UK power markets would be advantageous
