Job Overview:

Hiscox is seeking a skilled Power BI developer to join our team. As a Power BI developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to help manage performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create data visualizations and reports to help manage performance.
  • Develop and maintain data models, including data governance and security.
  • Write complex DAX formulas to create calculated columns, measures, and custom tables.
  • Build scalable data models and ensure data quality and security.
  • Use Power Automate to automate tasks and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the MI and resource planning team to provide tailored BI solutions.
  • Act with integrity and adhere to company values.

Requirements:

  • Proven skills in Power BI development and data governance.
  • Advanced SQL query writing and data modeling skills.
  • Good understanding of data security and governance.
  • Able to use Power Automate and other tools to automate tasks.
  • Can write complex DAX formulas for advanced data handling.
  • Skilled in making Power BI data models, visualizations, and custom visuals.
  • Can understand complex data and turn it into useful information.
  • Great at solving problems and paying attention to details.
  • Good at communicating and working with a team.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous work in a similar role in MI and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of operational MI challenges and solutions.
  • Experience in the curation of standard operating procedures and change management within operational MI teams.
  • Familiarity with Power BI security models and governance.
  • Insight into Power Automate's integration potential and automation best practices.
