We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Network Enforcement Officer to join our Traffic Management Group.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure the safety and accessibility of highway assets, thereby facilitating the smooth flow of traffic.


This role includes overseeing compliance with regulations regarding road works activities across Devon's network and taking necessary enforcement actions when required.

Although you will often work independently, you will also collaborate with a small team to inspect and respond to incidents in your designated area, with supervisory support available.

In this position, you will engage with utility companies and evaluate the compliance of maintenance contractors' reinstatements, identifying violations at road work sites and acting upon electronic data received.

The primary focus of this role will be the South Hams area, with the expectation to respond to issues across the county as needed.
