About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our contract and supplier relationship management capability, supporting teams across each of the Procurement Solutions categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth, mitigate risk, and meet legislative and policy requirements.
  • Lead the development of our contract and supplier relationship management capability, advising on best practices and ensuring consistent implementation across the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding solutions, forging strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Advise senior management on developments and standard processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop strategies to support the performance management of suppliers, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to customers.
  • Anticipate and handle change, encouraging category teams to develop new knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
  • Experience within category management, contract & supplier relationship management environment within the public sector.
  • Solid understanding of implementing best-in-class strategies.
  • Experience of applying matrix management principles and cross-functional ways of working.
  • Background in working across the NHS landscape at a senior level to identify and solve complex procurement requirements.
  • Knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and policy.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working across the NHS landscape at a senior level.
  • Knowledge of operating within a Public Sector Buying organisation environment.

What We Offer:

  • Full-time, 18-month FTC (possibility of becoming permanent).
  • Salary: circa £80,000 per annum (depending upon experience and development needs).
  • Benefits: £6,600 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical (couple), life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.
