Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Intervention and Pastoral Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field, and experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans to promote social, emotional, and mental well-being
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
- Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS clearance
