Position Title: Director, Global Research

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our global research function. As the Director of Research and Policy, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's research strategy and direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a long-term vision for the research function, aligning with business priorities and objectives.
  • Lead the research strategy, working closely with regional research leads and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Oversee the production of NCC Group's annual research report, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery.
  • Engage with product management, threat intelligence, and product innovation functions to drive research-driven innovation and business growth.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative and inclusive research community, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Manage annual research budgets, ensuring effective allocation and utilization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with global teams, academia, and industry partners to drive research collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate research outputs through various channels, serving as the main point of contact and public face for NCC Group's research.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in research delivery, with a background in cybersecurity preferred.
  • Ability to grasp research concepts across technologies and communicate them in a customer's context.
  • Strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and execute a long-term vision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Decision-making skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis.
