We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our team at First Quality Foods. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a selection of existing accounts, primarily in the UK.
As the primary point of contact for incoming trade enquiries, you will ensure ongoing contact with key customers, including occasional visits as required. You will also be responsible for recording and analyzing purchases, managing forecasting, and maintaining and updating customer databases and records using our CRM system.
Additionally, you will organize samples and marketing materials for prospects and customers, manage on-boarding and integration of new accounts, and liaise with our operations team to ensure customer accounts are operated satisfactorily.
You will work closely with our in-house marketing team to execute customer promotions and sales/marketing support, track promotional spending, and deal with any customer complaints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a selection of existing accounts (mostly UK)
- Point of contact for incoming trade enquiries
- Ensure ongoing contact with key customers, occasional visits as required
- Record and analyze purchases, manage forecasting
- Maintain and update customer databases and records using our CRM
- Organize samples and marketing materials for prospects and customers
- Manage on-boarding and integration of new accounts
- Liaise with operations team to ensure customer accounts are operated satisfactorily
- Work with in-house marketing team to execute customer promotions and sales/marketing support
- Track promotional spending
- Deal with customer complaints
- Manage new-line forms and promotional activation forms
- Manage and action price reviews
- Attend exhibition stands to represent company at trade shows in the UK or abroad, as required
- Provide support to Key Accounts Manager
- Other commercial duties as assigned
We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused individual with a strong attention to detail and administrative skills. You should have a good level of sales or marketing experience, high numeracy skills, and strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
You should also be comfortable using CRM and project management software, and have an interest in food and the food industry, as well as all things commercial within the food business.
